The experience

Students will explore creative photography using sunlight, plants, natural pigments, and simple chemistry in a hands-on, outdoor setting. Students will use a phenomenological approach to chemistry to understand the principles of photosensitivity they will explore: Anthotypes (plant-based prints) Cyanotypes (Iron based prints) Argerotypes (Silver based prints) They will create prints on paper & fabric assemble them in a handmade art book, create wearable art or make their own wood frame. This course meets weekly for 2 hours on Mondays from 10 to 12 for a total of 8 sessions.
