The experience

In this workshop, you’ll design a mosaic and create your own handmade glass tiles using our unique glass clay. Please note: You will not be assembling a finished mosaic during this class. This session focuses on making the tiles. Choose Your Workshop Length 2-hour workshop: Make enough tiles for a 7" × 7" mosaic 4-hour workshop: Make enough tiles for a 15" × 10" mosaic What You’ll Learn How to mix and roll glass clay How to transfer a pattern onto the clay How to cut your clay into tiles in any shape you choose How to color your tiles using enamels and/or colored glass powders After class, your tiles will be fired into solid glass pieces (firing may take up to one week). You’ll be notified when they’re ready for pickup. Next Steps Once you have your fired tiles, you can: Take them home and complete your mosaic on your own, or Join one of our one-day mosaic workshops to create a paver or another project of your choice.
